Are used '96 Bird headlights worth listing for sale or even for free? I replaced mine with new OEMs not long ago and the old ones are taking up space around here. I didn't bother restoring them, because for one thing, restorations tend to not last (even with UV spray), and these have lots of micro fractures in the plastic (or the OEM coating?). One of them has a small rock crack and one of them has an adjuster bolt that's loose.

They can last but you need to sand off the oxidized layer before you clearcoat them, I wouldn't bother with a cracked one though. In the long run they're probably not a bad item to hoard as parts stop being produced. 91-95 Cougar housings you cannot get new in any form anymore, the rest may not be far behind. 97-97 lights are good for modding too, projector conversions, blackout or whatever
