This was an engine build thread at the old place. But we've done so many different things to this car that I'll now make it a complete build thread.

This was shortly after it was purchased in 2007. Pacific Green with chrome salad shooters and Xenon side skirts and rear bumper.

Here is my son who is the driver now way back in 2007 putting trans fluid in. He did a good job, the same trans is in it now working just fine!

Here are pics of the car when it was painted in July 2020.

I love the color. :) My mom had a few cars that color; The first one I remember was a 63 Fairlane; the last one was a 68 Pontiac catalina.:)

I think that has more metallic flake in it than in my Pacific Green. It looks great.

The new color is custom mixed. Definitely not pacific Green. I'll post a pic to show the difference.

It actually has more of the 94-95 Emerald green, a true green, both 96-97 greens(pacific and alpine) had a little bit of a teal thing going on

Well if you want to see the difference between Pacific green and the color this car was painted in 2020. Here you go….

There were some paint issues. The shop that did the work warrantied the paint work for us and painted it again in 2022. This time around i pulled the cladding off. This was just before it went to paint.

Some of the prep pictures of the second paint job.

Sorry if you addressed this in the old forum thread, but I'd rather not spend more time there than necessary. I noticed the ATS caliper on the driver side and the stock one on the passenger side, and they existed behind both the old and new wheels. What's the story behind that?

We finished that finally. The issue is that you can attach the stock brake hose on the left side no problem. On the right side the stock hose fitting doesn't fit as is. I took a new hose to a hose shop and had a banjo fitting installed. Matt tells me he just ground down the stock fitting a bit. Which I wish I would have thought about that at the time. Would certainly be cheaper than modifying a hose.

So that was the problem. We installed the left brake went to do the right and couldn't install it as is at that time. We got back to it over the summer. It's resolved now. RaceCougar did this mod, Matt did it too. I just didn't read well enough at the time to be fully prepared to finish.

Good eye!

Yup, I did the same thing grinding down the block on the stock line fitting so it would seat on Cobra calipers. It all became moot after I upgraded to braided stainless lines a few years later.

Did the difference in braking cause any pulling to the left?

I'd have to ask my son. I really didn't get to drive it when it was like that.
