I saw someone refill a hot coleman lantern in the 70's that looked a lot like that, lol. Gasoline is not your friend. There was a noted arsonist here in the70's that my dad put in jail. His mo was to break into a house, put a 1 gallon gas can on the stove, on high, and leave. when any spark kicked it off, it would level the house. A gallon of gas fully vaporized, is about 33 sticks of dynamite. :)

I saw that post last night before it got any responses. So let's take him at face value that he's recovering from a "smppbile accidemt" and can't type despite the fact that the first post is fully readable albeit incoherent. Then how about:
  • Looking at the screen and hitting the Delete key when you fuck up
  • Using speech-to-text input instead
Have some damn pride in your communication skills or at least make it less obvious you're farming for a Facebook badge.

Every time I consider joining fb I get a reminder why I never rode that ride, lol.

I did myspace wbw. Mostly because of one chick. never again, lol.

Here's a rant,

Everyone remember the only company possibly worse than Verticalscope, Photobucket? Well I don't know if anyone knew about this workaround but for a while if you click delete account up to step 3 it gives you this option to get a 7 day free trial to access your hostage images(it never actually lasted 7 days btw). I did it a several times to get some stuff like some of the forum smilies we added and some pics I was just trying to find. Well tonight I was looking to get in there again for something and got to the window like normal...

And rather than being taken to my photos as per usual it gave me this

Oh Fuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkk Yoooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuu! Their continuingly evolving dickneadedness never ceases to amaze me. Jeff must moonlight for them.

Why didn't you just download your entire photo archive from PB ?

Most of the 1000+ pictures I had I had duplicates of already and much of anything else I hastily sifted through to save when they switched to the paid hosting model. In the 3-4 times I’ve gone back in there since I went looking for like one or two specific pics I couldn’t find anywhere else.

Besides which their batch downloader never worked, I could only ever open the image and right click/save as

It worked for me a few months ago; except I paid for one month's membership and then canceled after I downloaded the zip file.

How do you know it's an election year?

I filed my taxes on February 3. The refund was deposited in my bank account on February 9.

Refund ? I just finished my taxes and I still owe these fucks $1500. 🤔

Going to change my W4 withholdings and add a couple more dollars to my 401k next week, fuck paying taxes.

Vote D and make the fuckin’ 1%ers and corporations pay their fair share.

Should see my refund this week; IRS website finally says it got approved. I'd have owed money this year too, even after increasing my withholdings AGAIN... had it not been for those new heat pump/furnace tax credits. Barely getting back 10% of the cost of those things that way, but I'll take what I can get - while I still can.

On another note, I went to fill up the wife's Fusion Energi this evening for the first time since last November. 2,500 miles and 15 weeks later, the car took 11.4 gallons at $2.95. If I add in the 474 kWh of electricity also used, factor in 20% charging inefficiency at my electric rate of .13/kWh, that comes out to $110.74 between electric and gas. Put another way, that works out to 4.4 cents/mile, 95 MPGe, $110 in savings over 40 MPG or about $220 in savings over 25 MPG (factoring in electricity cost). Not a lot, but it is convenient for the wife to never have to stop at a gas station!

I don't know what I did but I restarted chrome on my laptop and now have access to my photos  I'll try downloading just so I don't have any reason to ever go back, I'll dump it all on a thumb drive

If anyone ever runs into this again, there's a firefox extension, down them all, it lets you download all type of files, in the directory you choose, with elaborate renaming ability. It is called 'down them all'. I used to use it to download whole porn sites, lol. It won't work on YT. You need a different one for that, lol.

I wouldn't begin to try that on YT. You'd need exabytes of storage, pipeline connection to the internet and multiple lifetimes to watch a fraction of it just to begin to scratch the surface of the content there.

My mp3 collection is 28000 songs,+. Over 230GB. Server has 20 TB of video.

I still have a POTS landline at my house. No issues there.
But did anyone actually make/receive a call during the outage? My fiber termination point (ONT) actually has an RJ11 port and VOIP service that in theory would continue to work if I hooked up a UPS to the ONT. I think it has free internation LD as well. However, I haven't bothered using it in 7 years.

AT&T service here and yep no in or out this AM, Yes your VOIP would work it does not all rely on a wireless network.

Switched my wife off AT&T's network about a month ago. Fortuitous! SIP landline for the house to go with our cells. We didn't notice a thing.

In the scenario where my ONT at my house runs on UPS backup power that I provide, I was less worried about any wireless network outages and more curious as to if the network equipment owned by my ISP at the other end of the fiber link (at the POP) would still have backup power. On that topic, I'm less certain.

Typically, PGE tries not to cut power off in SF even if they might do blackouts in other burbs (its a real bad look for them). I would suspect that if I lose power at my house, the power mains going to the local neighborhood POP would lose power as well.

POTS landline phones holdup time is much higher. The batteries at a cell site are huge, but only have a 30 minute holdup time. We built a test machine for cell site batteries to be tested for leakage. (they worry about Hydrogen leaks; they have vents for that.) The 2.2V batteries were 3'x1'x~8" in size. I tried to snag 6 of them, but they wanted them all back.:) That would have been the car battery from hell, lol. Talk about "reserve capacity." 6 of those would have weighed more than the Subaru I was driving, lol.

Might be an odd question, but does anyone have a lead on GT40 intake flanges? Looking to make an intake and I don't wanna have to mess with 1/4in plate making a flange.
